WASH (Water, Sanitation & Hygiene)

At HRF Pakistan, our mission is rooted in the belief that water, sanitation and hygiene are fundamental rights. We are dedicated to creating a future where every individual, especially the most vulnerable, can thrive.

We work tirelessly to ensure universal and equitable access to safe and affordable drinking water, and to achieve adequate sanitation and hygiene for all. Our efforts are focused to ensure access to WASH services the vulnerable communities, ensuring their safety, privacy, and well-being.

Simultaneously, we are committed to safeguarding community health, with a focus on children, mothers, and the elderly. We bridge critical gaps by integrating safe water and hygiene practices with quality, timely primary healthcare and nutrition services, particularly for remote and economically challenged populations.

Our work is a direct contribution towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with a primary focus on:

Water Technologies we used for safe drinking water.

• Solarised water pumps
• Affrideve hand pumps
• Shallow hand pumps
• Gravity flow water schems
• Rehabilitation and reconstruction of tube-wells and large water schemes

Sanitation Technologies:

• Sanitation services at household level with improved
• Sanitation services during humanitarian crises
• We are building communal waste collection points to contribute for environmental sanitation

Hygiene Awarness:

We used hygiene awareness along-with our water and sanitation services project to ensure the sustainability of our infrastructure provided at community and household level.

• Hygiene awareness sessions and provision of hygiene kits
• School Clubs and session with children and adolescent girls
• Provision of dignity kits to adolescent girls and women's
• Training to prepare dignity kits at household level
• Familiy hygiene kits
